ADE fizzy tablet

A fizzy tablet that speeds detoxification by preventing alcohol dehydrogenase from converting alcohol into acetaldehyde and by neutralizing remaining alcohol for faster elimination.

Abysm

Another word for Hell, used both for the realm itself and for the infernal residue associated with it. Abysm can be left behind in a host, creating or preserving a pathway for demonic possession.

Birdhouse

A common term for a brothel. Government-run brothels are referred to as bird cages.

Born magic

The primordial power accepted by all fae at conception. In the womb, fae children choose whether they will become Diastu, who savor magic, or Isiepho, who share it.

Carrier bird

A bronze mechanical bird used as a wind-up means of communication, much like a courier service.

Coalition for the Rights of All (CRA)

A resistance movement formed in opposition to the Sun’s rise to power and the ideology of Races United for Order (RUFO).

Communionem

Latin for communion. A sacred ceremony in which young fae receive the full rendering of their scarification.

Diastu fae

A race of fae whose limited magic is not powered by a symbiote. Their magic resists variation, diversity, improvisation, and growth.

Fae jyn

A distilled spirit made from fae-cultivated juniper berries.

Fae wine

A fermented spirit made from fae-cultivated fruits, grasses, herbs, or flowers.
